The London Young Film Festival is the annual
gathering point for young filmmakers from around the world.
Six days of screenings, workshops, lectures, and networking events
provides ample opportunities for filmmakers under 26 years of age to
showcase their achievements, learn from mentors, and build contacts
for future collaborations. The Festival also benefits from the vibrant London filmmaking community.
The London Young Film Festival has been running for the last two
years as a sub-section of the
London Independent Film Festival, but
from 2009 it will be run as a unique event. We still share many of
the same resources and venues of the April London Independent Film Festival.

The 2009 London Young Film Festival will be held in several venues across London, including the Roxy, the Coronet, and the Curzon Cinemas. In total we'll show over 100 films from young filmmakers.
The Festival also operates as an key section of the London Arts Festival and offers access for local young people to a world-class film event to engage and involve the widest possible range of London-area youth.
