Submissions Information:
The 2009 London Young Film Festival will have space for 12 narrative feature films, 10 feature documentaries, and over 80 short films, music videos and short documentaries.  All submitted films must be by directors under 26 years of age, from any country.  The festival prioritizes ultra low-budget films of independent spirit and exciting new talent.  NOTE: all film submissions are preferred via Withoutabox:

Submission specs:
* All entries must be shipped prepaid.
* Do not declare a value on your submission, as this will hold it up in customs.
* Do not send materials in fiber-filled envelopes or "jiffy packs," since fibers will damage playback equipment. Please use bubble-lined envelopes instead.
* Preview format must be DVD. Preview DVD's should be clearly labelled with the title, running time and contact information (name, phone number, e-mail.) or WaB number.
* If you are submitting more than one entry, a separate submission is required for each film, although they may be mailed together.

ENTRY FEES:
Deadlines: Early (ending June 13), Regular (June 14-July 18), Late (July 18- Aug 29)
Fees for feature films are £25 early, £30 regular, £40 late .
Fees for short films and Music Videos are £18 early, £20 regular, £30 late.

Fees for feature scripts are £25 early, £30 regular, £40 late.

1. The London Young Film Festival is open to international independent films in one of the following categories:

Feature Film
Feature Documentary
Short Film
Short Documentary
Music Video
Feature Screenplay

2. To be eligible, a film or script entry must have been made by a director/writer under 26 years of age at the time of submission. All film entries must be submitted on DVD to be considered for selection and received by the entry deadline of Sept 16, 2009.

NTSC and PAL submissions will be accepted, as will Region 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

3. Submission DVD will not be returned unless requested with an enclosed Self-addressed stamped envelope or tape box.

4. If selected to be showcased during the event, all Digital Tapes and 16mm/35mm prints must be received by September 30, 2009

5. All photos provided must be clearly identified on the back. Photos will not be returned & may be used for any festival promotions.

6. Films which have been broadcast on Television, Cable or have had a theatrical release prior to the festival are NOT eligible for any competition but may be screened out of competition.

7. Non-English language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

8. All entrants certify that they have been given full rights to use any and all music in their films.

9. Film Producers are responsible for insurance and shipment costs of films to the festival.

10. The title of the work and name of entrant must be on all mailing containers, labels, can reels and film leaders.

Award Categories:

12. All film entries will be considered for the Jury and Audience Award competition. Jury Award winners will be selected by a panel of active film industry professionals. All films go through a screening process and are reviewed by at least two film industry professionals.

13. Winners agree to participate in the publicity for the Festival as well as other promotional events, including the website. The determination of the winners is final.

Accepted Filmmakers Or Screenwriters

15. Filmmakers or screenwriters accepted and are attending the festival are responsible for travel, lodging, and all other expenses.
